Foundation
Child’s Play is a leading British Curriculum Nursery located in Jumeirah Dubai. At Child’s Play, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage with the addition of French and Arabic embedded into the curriculum.
Why Child's Play Nursery Dubai?
The aim of Child’s Play Nursery is to develop your child’s individual needs by ensuring the best quality care and early education are offered at all times.
Through the development of creativity and encouraging the children to move freely in the nursery, we aim to develop each child’s full potential in an enjoyable, safe and stimulating environment.

Facilities
The well-equipped learning environments at Child’s Play Nursery provide unlimited opportunities for children to learn through imagination, creativity and play.
Indoors, the activities are wide and varied. They can play with their favourite toys, unleash their inner artist through ‘messy play’. They can begin to make sense of their world through pre-school science activities. Music and movement may capture their imagination or perhaps they will enjoy cooking in the mud kitchen!
Our large multi-purpose outdoor area allows children to ride scooters, bikes and trikes around the track, climb on the apparatus, discover and explore in the garden, role play with the equipment, sculpt with sand or make a splash in the water zone.

Curriculum
At Child’s Play Nursery, our core curriculum is based on the UK National Curriculum, the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is also enhanced by the inclusion of good practice from around the world and incorporates many different child development theories, such as Piaget and Montessori and Reggio Emilio. We have 8 classrooms in total which welcomes children aged 6 months to 4 years.
The aim of Child’s Play Nursery is to develop your child’s individual needs by ensuring the best quality care and early education are offered at all times. We consider each child to be special and our staff provide a stimulating learning program based on each child’s individual learning needs.
Through the development of creativity and allowing children to make choices, we aim to develop each child’s full potential in an enjoyable, safe and stimulating environment.

Arts & Music
At Child’s Play Nursery, we offer fun, interactive music and movement classes everyday for 30 minutes. Introducing the expressive arts to children at a young age has a number of benefits, ranging from improving creativity to increasing self-confidence.
Exposure to music helps to develop listening and auditory discrimination skills, whilst also contributing to motor skill development and increasing the range and flexibility of the voice.
In addition to daily classes, our music teacher plays a number of instruments in the setting throughout the day to introduce the children to the benefits of music.

Languages
At Child’s Play Nursery, we proudly offer specialist language classes every day as a part of our curriculum.
Learning to understand, use and enjoy language is the critical first step in literacy, and the basis for learning to read and write. We make sure children are exposed to languages on a daily basis.
Whilst English is the first language of learning, communication and instruction, the children’s mother tongue is highly valued at Child’s Play Nursery and we also place a strong emphasis on Arabic.
Arabic:
Children from the age of 6 months to 4 years will receive Arabic classes three times a week for 20 minutes.
French:
Children from the age of 6 months to 4 years will have the opportunity to attend fun and interactive French classes twice a week for 20 minutes.

Inclusion
At Child’s Play Nursery, we strive to make sure that all our children feel a sense of belonging. Community and inclusion are central to achieving a happy learning environment.
Our inclusive admissions policy ensures that we are well resourced and qualified to meet the needs of children who require additional support in their learning as well as those who need additional learning challenges.
We recognise that your child is an individual and adapt our curriculum to meet their unique needs and to challenge them in appropriate and differentiated ways.

How we prepare children for school
At Child’s Play Nursery, one of our priorities is to ensure that the transition from nursery setting to school is as smooth as possible for the children. We work in partnership with our families to support them through this process too.
We offer a rich and supportive learning environment for children to acquire and develop skills and experiences, and an understanding of the world that they will need for a successful transition to school. Our aim is to ensure that all our children develop personally, socially, emotionally, creatively and physically so that by the time they leave at 4 years old, they will be more than ready for the next step in their education journey.
Our early years educators and teaching staff are highly skilled at facilitating the children’s learning through observation, questioning and by playing alongside, and with children. Working this way, they gain an accurate picture of each child’s development and can plan the next steps effectively. They use detailed record-keeping to ensure each child is where they need to be so the children are confident and well-prepared when they transition to school.

Our Rooms & Classes
Our spacious classrooms are fully equipped with the range of state of the art toys and play equipment that facilitate the development and education of our little ones.
Our living and learning environments are designed to meet the overall needs of all our children and to facilitate their development through age-appropriate experiences. Due to the individuality of each child expectations vary; each child is challenged but not hurried.
Your Children
Every child is unique and our teaching is designed to treat all children as individuals. Our holistic approach means that parents/carers, class teachers, specialist teachers and learning assistants work very effectively together to support our ethos ‘the best by every child’.
Most importantly, we believe that happy and well-motivated children are good learners. The Foundation Stage is a safe, secure and friendly environment for our youngest children to gain confidence and independence, in preparation for the next stage of their schooling. It is an excellent foundation for future learning.
Our approach to safety and security is holistic; beginning at the front door and continuing right through to staff selection, training and, of course, security systems and safety procedures.
At Child’s Play Nursery, we have a fully equipped clinic and a full time nurse who is looking after our little ones.
All areas are child proofed to ensure safety at all times. Indeed, the safety of your child is our priority.
At Child’s Play Nursery, we believe that everyone should be a role model to others.
Respect for each other, our learning, our community and our environment is essential. We also believe that children should be happy in Nursery and enjoy learning. Learning and progress are of course critical in a child’s education and we know that happy children succeed. This is why, focusing on children’s wellbeing and happiness while ensuring they are given the skills and tools to learn, is essential to us.
The Characteristics of Effective Learning describe how children learn in the Foundation Stage and can be divided into 3 groups:
Playing and Exploring – Finding out and exploring, being willing to ‘have a go’ and playing with what they know.
Active Learning – being involved and concentrating, trying and persevering, taking pleasure from achieving what they set out to do.
Creating and Thinking Critically – having their own ideas, making links, choosing ways to do things.
Child’s Play Nursery promotes healthy eating, and we encourage parents to help us in our aim. When providing a packed snack and lunch, please include only healthy food choices. The following items are not allowed in packed lunches: sweets, chocolate, crisps, nuts and carbonated drinks. Please review our healthy eating policy for more details.
Your children’s education and wellfare are our main priorities
